Post Care Instructions
- Avoid drinking cold drinks or very hot drinks for 12 hours post treatment.
- Stick to room temperature liquids.
- Intense swelling is normal. You will have soreness.
- It is okay to take iburprofen or Tylenol for pain.
- It is also okay to use ice.
- Minimal irritation is normal.
- Apply Aquaphor as often as needed.
- Avoid cooling the body quickly after treatment.
- No ice baths, no cryotherapy etc.
- Avoid partaking in activities that will heat up your skin, such as going in a hot tub/Jacuzzi/sauna, taking a very hot shower, or strenuous exercise for 2 days after treatment.
- First Few Days: Continue gentle cleansing and moisturizing over the next few days.
- Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or using exfoliants for 1 week.
- Avoid partaking in activities that will heat up your skin, such as going in a hot tub/Jacuzzi/sauna, taking a very hot shower, or strenuous exercise for 2 days after treatment.
- First Few Days: Continue gentle cleansing and moisturizing over the next few days.
- Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or using exfoliants for 1 week.
- Avoid any dental work for 2 weeks.
- Keep facial movements to a minimum for 24-48 hours.
- Keep entry points clean and covered with a bandaid for 24-48 hours.
- Do not pull your skin, exfoliate, or scrub for 14 days.
- Some pinching of the skin is normal and will subside within a few days.
- Avoid excessive heat for 48 hours.
- It can take a full 14 days for swelling and bruising to resolve.
- It is okay to use ice.
- It is okay to use ibuprofen and Tylenol for mild discomfort and pain.
- If lip filler, avoid oral sex for 2 weeks.
- Keep your head upright for 2-4 hours.
- Do not exercise for 24 hours.
- Take over the counter zinc for 3 days to help neuromodulator last longer.
- It is okay to use an ice pack.
- It takes a full 2 weeks for full effect, do not do any touchups until you have reached the 2 week mark.
- Keep the skin clean. Cleanse the skin with a gentle cleanser at least 2 times per day.
- Apply Aquaphor 2-3 times a day.
- The more moist the skin is the quicker it will heal.
- Swelling can be normal.
- If you have oozing, odor, or fever reach out to our office right away.
- Post care instruction card is inside of your chemical peel discharge box.
- Please refrain from peeling your skin yourself.
- Let the skin naturally fall off.
- Peeling can lead to scarring.
- Do not start using the moisturizer with your peel until your peel starts peeling naturally.
- Always use sunscreen.
- Avoid excessive amounts of direct sun.
- Avoid direct sun for 72 hours.
- Avoid extreme heat for 72 hours.
- Keep the skin clean.
- Avoid chlorine for one week.
- Avoid exfoliating and scrubs.
- Wear sunscreen
